100 Days of Gratitude - Day One

To set this up, I got this idea from Jacleen Allen, who I met at an event I worked in Fiji. Jacleen posted for 100 days something she was grateful for on her facebook page, and I found myself looking forward to reading it each and every day.

I waited until she was done (which has been a few months now) and decided it was time for me to do the same. I have so much to be grateful for, I may not be able to fit it into only 100 days - but I'll try.

Day One - Gratitude - 100 Days of Gratitude: Day 1 - I'm most thankful in life for my wonderful wife @Blonde4now and my 3 amazing sons.

Kim is the person in life who knows me best and loves me despite all of my faults. She picks me up when I'm down, and brings me back down to earth if I'm feeling a bit too proud. She takes care of me and I take care of her and we both love the arrangement.

I also couldn't be prouder of my three sons.

Jonathan is in his 4th semester of college, but has Junior credit hours (graduating early will save me a lot of money!). He's eager to learn and taking to college like a fish to water.

Peter is a Senior in High School and has been accepted to Southern Methodist University (SMU) and has gotten $60K in scholarships so far. He's so much like me in so many ways that it's scary.

Nicholas is a Junior at Liberty Hill High School and is an amazing natural musician. I don't know where his talent comes from, certainly not me, but I could sit and watch him play guitar for hours.

These are the people in the world that I love the most.

Everything I do comes back to them in one way or another. Even when I'm on the road for weeks at a time, it's all so I can provide for them and do what I think is best for my family.

So even when it seems like work is coming first, it's because my family comes first and as the Dad/Husband, it's my responsibility to provide.

Family comes first - so that's why I put them here on page one, day one of my 100 Days of Gratitude.
