100 Days of Gratitude - Day 31 - My inlaws

Yup. That's right, I'm grateful for my inlaws. They're wonderful people.Nana, Papa and Nicholas on his 17th Birthday this week.
They're nice enough that we don't even mind having them as our neighbors 3 months a year. They put a travel trailer at the back of our property and come down from January until sometime in late March or April. And we don't get tired of them.
Last night we went to a band concert at Liberty Hill High School and the last song they played all of the songs from the different branches of the military and had the veterans stand up when they played their song. Papa stood up 3 times. He served in the Army, the Air Force and the Navy. Then went on to be a police officer and retired (I use that term lightly) young.
Papa fixes things that are broken, has worked like a horse clearing our property of scrub brush, cedar and thorny vines. He's always there for Kim and Nicholas and the boys, and is an all around good guy.
Frances (Nana) is a doting grandma and a lot of fun. She always has cookies for the boys when they go down to visit her, and always has a big hug for me.
They just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary by going on a cruise and had a great time.
So today, I'm grateful for my inlaws. I hope you have as good a relationship with your inlaws as I do with mine. But if everyone did, I guess there wouldn't be "Mother-in-law" jokes.
