100 Days of Gratitude - Day 49 - Lyle Lovett's Music

I know, I know, I did music on Day 45. But my last post was 3 days ago because I've been working in my workshop (Day 20) on some gear for Game Shows To Go to make load in and load out faster at every show.

In the 4 days, or part of 4 days that I've been in the workshop, there has been nothing played on my iPod except for Lyle Lovett music - and a song has not repeated all day long on any day. I literally have every album Lyle Lovett has made.

It's perfectly mellow, makes me feel good music. I like the way it makes me feel and I always have.

I'm a huge fan of his, but not in a fanboy, I know everything about Lyle kinda way, but in a I really enjoy the music kinda way. The extent of what I know about Lyle Lovett is that he lives in the Houston area, we're both Aggies - though separated by about two years in our time at A&M and he was once married to Julia Roberts. I also know that his voice soothes me and I love the stories he tells.

Since someone will ask, my favorite song(s) is/are Texas Trilogy off of the Step Inside This House album - such rich storytelling. Church is also an awesome song.

So... today... I'm showing gratitude to Lyle Lovett - and all of the guys who write the music he sings - I really appreciate the music you make and I hope you make it for a long time to come.

I have been busy in the shop, not in the office this week - so my posts have been a bit off. I'll try to be better the rest of the week.

I'd really love to hear comments if anyone is reading this stuff.
